On Monday March 8th SUMBA's hedge laying "tree huggers" completed their final Autumn/Winter session. Over 100 metres of hedge have been cleared and laid at the 48hr moorings above Cholmondeston Lock.
On Saturday March 18th SUMBA's volunteers commenced their Spring/Summer maintenance programme further improving the Middlewich Branch Canal for all its users.
For their 121st. work party they commenced preparation of Cholmondeston and Minshull Locks and lock side infrastructure for their annual repainting in April.
