Acton Walk – Sunday 8th May
Join me, Caroline and Keith on the 8 May for a "gentle" 5 mile walk through the delightful south Cheshire countryside. Spring should be in it's full glory and we should see plenty of hedgerow flowers and hear lots of birdsong.
We will be doing a new route for this Group, which will go out towards Reasheath and close by Poole Hall, before returning to the canal and then back to Acton
The pace of the walk will be relaxed, and the route will involve canal towpath, lane walking and field footpaths. The footpaths are currently very dry and no mud is anticipated, however a number of stiles must be negotiated on the route. As always, I recommend your wear stout outdoor shoes or walking shoes / boots.
We will start from outside Acton Church at 1pm, and for those who wish to indulge in cake and a drink, we will be back in time to visit the Acton Church "Tea in the Tower" community cafe (a small donation towards "Church Funds" is appreciated for the drink and cake).
If you wish to join us, could you be there for 12.45 for a prompt 1pm start please.
Dogs on leads are welcome but they must be able to negotiate or to be carried over the stiles?
