A new village sign, commissioned on behalf of St Bartholomews church and designed & manufactured by David Freedman at his Millforge smithy in Church Minshull, was unveiled on 3rd June 2012, by John Astbury, the villages' longest living resident. The community came out to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony.
John was supported by his son and daughter, whilst Councillor Michael Jones, John Headon and the Reverend Peter Lillicrap, looked on.
