James Bowman the world renowned counter – tenor gave a Serenade Concert at St Bartholomew's Church on a sunny Saturday afternoon yesterday.
James was accompanied by John Turner (recorder), Heather Bills (cello) and Harvey Davies (harpsichord).
The concert was organised and sponsored by John and Margaret Turner, to raise funds for the church roof appeal and raised £500.
The music played and sung, came from Handel, J S Bach, and Purcell to name a few and included a world premier performance of Jim Parker's 'A South American Journey', written for recorder and harpsichord.
