It was a record crowd again for Carols Round the Tree at St Bartholomew's Church on Thursday 14th December. The singing was incredible and the mulled wine and mince pies went down in great volume.
The Co-op Funeralcare Brass Band Northwest played three sessions of carols and Christmas songs and church warden, John Headon, told a true story of hope overcoming adversity at Christmas time.
At the end of the service, the children requested 'Away in a Manger' and some were even brave enough to stand at the front of the church to sing it. It was a fabulous night so clearly enjoyed by everyone!
