As a result of water mains damage the A530 is likely to be closed for between 6 to 8 weeks between Alvaston (Premier Inn) and Marshfield Bank (Sainsburys) Roundabouts. Whilst the official diversion is through Crewe, there is significant extra traffic coming through the village.
