Members of the SUMBA work party, worked hard last Saturday morning to install three new BBQ stands and the footings for a new bench overlooking Church Minshull village.
Volunteers braved blowy and wet weather, to dig out footings and pour concrete bases, under the expert guidance of Canals and River Trust staff.
The new bench is being made by Reaseheath students and will be ready to put in place very soon.
In the meantime, Graham Russell and Kerry Bannon are meeting a local designer to finlise the look and style of some new signage and finger posts, which will form part of the new 'Minsh Trail', taking in this part of the canal towpath.
