The MAD Group performance of Murder at Chester House has proved to be a great success, with a full house and lots of lovely comments from the audience afterwards. Written by John Headon, the plot centred around a group of actors coming together to perform a radio play, but unfortunately one unpopular character, a diva played by Sharon Corke, was poisoned during the interval. Detective Inspector Moore turned up, John Headon and interviewed the cast and the audience had to deduce who the murderer was. They had a choice of the sound and lighting technician, played by PJ Jones, The director played by David Barrett, the cast played by Richard and Sue Ellison, Charlotte and Alfie Deabill, and the guilty party herself, Ellie Lewis. Allie Denton's team, 'The Moonies' were the only ones to get it right and took the prize of a tub of Quality Street. The bar was busy and run by Jo Barrett and Mark Holroyd was stage manager.
