Preparing for the Weather

Last week we had some heavy rain and as you may of seen, the River Weaver has been getting high. The Weather forecast for week commencing 16th January looks to be somewhat drier. However the following week is forecast for some rain again.
In this context Cllr Brian Charlesworth has organized a bulk bag delivery of sand and sandbags, just in case heavy rains return and the flooding risk increases.
The sand is located on the Village Hall carpark, in the corner near the road.
If you are in needand are requiring sand/sandbags (to assist flood defences in an emergency), please feel free to help yourselves, if the situation requires.
Fingers crossed that the sandbags won't be needed!
