At November's Parish Council meeting concerns were raised regarding a potential outline planning application for land opposite Weaver View. For many at the meeting, this highlighted the urgent need for the creation of a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). See here for more information.
An NDP would be complimentary to the 2014 Parish Plan and once in place, would have a binding legal status for all planning and development issues.
The Parish Council is holding an open meeting on Tuesday 12th Jan to which all are invited at 7:30pm in the village hall.
The planned agenda is as follows
- Welcome and introductions The need for a Neighbourhood Development Plan
- Cheshire Community Action
What an NDP is and the process to develop and successfully achieve one.
- Andrew Thompson
An independent consultant who has worked with a number of parishes to develop their policies and plan.
- Questions, comments and hopefully some answers
- Our next steps...
Please come to the meeting if you can.

The price of a mixed box will be £20 for as long as Perry's can get the produce but there are signs (as everywhere) that the wholesalers are having to increase prices which will inevitably be passed on! At least we don't have to risk the supermarkets!!This...
