Minshull Madness was back in the village again, last Saturday with a record attendance of 270 people.
The event has grown year on year, with new costumes, new games & races and lots of fun for all ages. The Badger Inn, once again served the community superbly, putting on a Hog Roast, BBQ, Beer tent and provided the marquees and generator. So a big thanks goes out to Dave Hughes and his team, who worked tirelessly to ensure that food and refreshments were just a Cheshire Cat's whisker away...
This year, new events were introduced, which included giant soccer ball relays, but an even greater success were the Space Hopper races for all ages..!
The usual running races, egg & spoon and wheel barrow races, preceded the traditional (and very competitive) wellie whanging and the now, infamous tug-o-war events, where an almost 'tribal obsession' to win, takes over the most reasonably minded of persons...! Kids were able to have their faces painted (although it seems there quite a lot of adults 'glammed up', too) the ice cream van was kept busy, too and 'finale' sweetie stampede had the youngsters scurrying over the whole field.
