Good luck to the Badger Inn at the Cheshire Life 'Food and Drink' awards evening on Monday 27th October.
The Badger Inn is nominated in the category of Traditional Dining Pub of the Year and up against, The Leather's Smithy at Langley and The Yew Tree Inn at Bunbury.
Cheshire Life judges said this about the Badger Inn, "Dating from c1770 and sporting fine period oak beams, the Badger Inn epitomises an indelible piece of English heritage: the village pub.
There's the warmest of welcomes, a wide range of well-kept beers and carefully-chosen wines and the food, served in delightful surroundings is hale, hearty and wonderfully appetising British fare. Five delightfully furnished en suite bedrooms point towards the Badger's history as a coaching inn".
The success is being nominated and short listed in the first place, but let's hope it can go one step more on the evening...
