This week the flower world merged with the farmer's world to raise funds for two charities, Nantwich Christie Hospital Support
Group and The Bowel Cancer Unit. The event was hosted by the Ford Family of Eardswick Hall, Minshull Vernon. The beautiful marquee was a fabulous backdrop for Eleanor Griffiths to demonstrate the most stunning flower designs with her title "Bring Me Sunshine." It may have been blustery and wet outside but Eleanor's personality certainly filled the space with sunshine as she showed us sunflowers, anthuriums, gladioli and many more exotic flowers. Ably assisted by her husband, Mark and her mum Gill, Eleanor regaled us with stories from her days at The Young Farmers Meetings to her success at Chelsea Flower Show. The cows outside competed for attention with loud mooing reminding us that we were in the midst of beautiful Cheshire farmland but nothing was going to stop Eleanor's talent in floral design and the art of entertaining us all.

The event has already raised close to £2000 to be split between the charities with donations still coming in. If you would like to contribute to the fund, please contact Mrs Ford on 07773619527
