The Parish Council would like to make our residents aware of the limited and frustrating progress that we have made with regard to improvements on flooding and road conditions within our parish. The details of the meeting that was held on 14th May 2021 (by Zoom) are in the report, and the intended action that was agreed is also included. The report was initially passed to Sarah Pochin, our CE Councillor (and now mayor) on 4th June and then to Edward Timpson's team on 8th June. The letter from our MP passing on the report to the Cheshire East CEO and to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, George Eustice is also included. We will continue to push for responses since to date not a word has been received from Edward Timpson's recipents.
Bob Schiller (Chair)
Email from Edward Timpson (MP) follows:
Dear Bob,
Thank you very much for sending a copy of your meticulous flooding report, I am very impressed by the approach you have taken.
As you know, flooding and rural issues are very important to me so I have asked the Chief Executive Officer at Cheshire East Council and the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to consider the points you raise through this report.
I am sure they will take into account your concerns as they develop their thinking further and I will contact you again once I receive full responses.
Thank you again for taking the time to contact me.
With best wishes,
Edward Timpson CBE MP
