Church Minshull success at awards..!

Church Minshull enjoyed fantastic success at Cheshire Community Action's – Community Pride Awards, held at Ellesmere Port Civic Centre on Thursday evening.

Of the six categories entered, Church Minshull was recognised in four of them and gained a extra little gem recognition on the night.

More detailed reports will be forth coming over the next few days, but in brief:

Best Kept Village: Of the 56 villages which entered the Community Pride awards this year, Church Minshull was shortlisted to the top four in the 401-600 population catergory. A fabulous result and recognition of the work that went in to presenting our village at it's best last summer.

Working with Young People: Church Minshull Youth Club gained a Highly Commended award for it's fundraising efforts in aid of the RSPCA. A fitting tribute to the kids and organisers of the Youth Club.

Community Champion: Congratulations to John Headon for being Highly Commended in the Community Champion category – a well deserved recognition of his selfless contribution to our community.

Little Gem: CCA judges travel around and snap photos of 'Little Gems', they think enhance the aspect of the local community. Church Minshull was nominated for The Old School House.

Best Website: Really proud to report that ARENA, came Runner-Up in the Best Website in Cheshire category. For a small community like ours, it is a great achievement for this little website.
