Bridge Closed until Fri 10th Nov

Some of you will have noticed that our River Weaver Bridge has been closed recently. Apparently, on the grapevine, Cheshire East Borough Council says it is going to be closed from 9:15am to 3:00pm until Friday 10th November 2023 for Paving and Kerbs Maintenance.
It will be closed again in the future to rebuild the complete road.

Speaking with the workmen on Tuesday, they confirm that the Bridge closure & resurfacing is likely to continue until Friday 10th November 2023

Apparently the workmen are totally fixing the bridge and road so they will NOT be returning later – they are doing it all at the same time

Bridge and road finally open with fixings in place and new tarmac and new paint.
