A taste of Monte Carlo came to Church Minshull on Friday, March 1st, with the 'Vegas in the Village' event at Rosalie Farm. This fundraiser, in aid of the Church Roof Appeal, saw nearly seventy people take to the Blackjack and Roulette tables to raise in excess of £2000 (before costs).
A very big thank you goes out to everyone who made it such a success. In particular special thanks should go to Jonathon and Elizabeth Baldwin for hosting it at their home, to all the contributors for their generosity in supplying the great prizes for the 'silent auction', also to the Royal Oak for kindly contributing the licence fee and Councillor Michael Jones for his personal generous donation, despite being unable to attend.
Finally in wouldn't have happened without all those who attended and the team who organised this event, who arranged the croupiers; who worked in the kitchen; who welcomed invitees and coordinated parking, on the night.
Everyone should be congratulated on the success of such a great and different event for Church Minshull.
