Today the Bishop of Chester visited St. Bart's Church, something he had asked to attend 18 months ago, to see how non ministry people speak to their fellow neighbours and friends. The main event was three "question and answer sessions" with John and Bishop Mark. The first was about how he became a Christian and became interested in joining the ministry, the second was how he progressed from university to becoming the Bishop of Chester and finally there were questions from the congregation. These questions varied from "what is your favourite part of being a bishop?" (answer: "visiting people and schools") to "have you any hobbies in your little spare time?" (answer: "riding my powerful motorbike, of which I have several"). Near the end, Bishop Mark gave a leaving gift to Tim and Jane Hough for all their work at St Bart's, particularly with Cafe Church. Tim gave a short speech of thanks and Bishop Mark said a prayer for their new home and life in Wales. They closed the service with a Hymn played by Richard on guitar and John B on Mandolin. The congreagation's conclusion to the question "Who is the Bishop of Chester"? well they now know and he has won some good friends in Church Minshull.
