Acton Walk – Sunday February 6th
We had a great walk in January and a large group of fellow walkers attended. The "Weather Gods" were kind on the day and the conditions were not as wet underfoot as feared. It was good to see so many fellow walkers.
Join me, Caroline and Keith for a 4.5 mile walk where we will stroll along the footpaths and lanes of South Cheshire, returning to Acton via the Shropshire Union canal.
The pace of the walk as per usual will be relaxed, and the route will involve canal towpath, field footpaths and lane walking. The footpaths in places maybe be muddy and wet, with a number of stiles that must be negotiated. As always, I recommend your wear stout outdoor shoes or walking shoes / boots.
We will start the walk from outside Acton Church at 1pm, and for those who wish to indulge in cake and a drink, we will be back in time to visit the Acton Church "Tea in the Tower" community cafe (a small donation towards "Church Funds" is appreciated for the drink and cake).
If you wish to join us, could you be there for 12.45 for a prompt 1pm start please. Please park in the Acton village car park.
Dogs on leads are welcome but they will have to be able to negotiate or be carried over the stiles?
Dates for the future Sunday walks from Acton Church are:
6 March,3 April,8 May,12 June,3 July ("Summer long walk" of 8 miles).
