On a cold, crisp but bright Saturday morning a group of us got together in the Village Hall for a Flower Arranging Class. The aim was to learn how to make the most of flowers in the home whether they were given as a gift or purchased as a treat! Examples of how to place flowers in different containers using methods such as chicken wire, pin holders and foam were shown and then the group began to create their own designs using a Kenzan pin holder. Refreshments were served, chat was encouraged and all in all we agreed that we had an enjoyable and relaxing morning.
With thanks to Judy Gratton for helping with the teaching, Elizabeth Headon for keeping us refreshed with drinks and biscuits and Rob Jones for helping to set up and pack away the tables and chairs.
Flower Arranging is definitely good for the soul. Interest was shown in a class per season so role on Summer!
