“Come on — what is your view? You surely must have an opinion!"
Well done everyone. A brilliant result
Certainly would like to see them return
Editor's comment: Who else would..?
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing the Birmingham Town Hall Gospel Choir to St Bartholomew's. It was a truly memorable evening
Editor's comment: It was a great evening...! Would the community like to see them return..?
Can I just comment on how well our villagers represented themselves today in front of a panel of judges from Cheshire Community Action. Well done to all, but ,special acknowledgement to Lesley Baddeley for her insightfulness as a new member of our community. Fingers crossed for a good result.
Editor's comment: Yes, good luck in the competition, Church Minshull...!!
Well what an event....to be met with the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit and all the gang was superb on Saturday. My family and I thought the whole day was magnificent from games, races, hog, bar and of course not forgetting the Dragon;. The favorite bit for me was seeing more adults than children taking part in the races and flexing their muscles in the Tug of War....hilarious!
Finishing off with the live band, even the droplets of rain did not spoil any of the fun and frolics. Thank you to all of the CM Vision Madness Makers....you certainly did make the Madness.....Bring on next year....hooray!
Editor's comment: ...a satisfied customer...!
Just want to congratulate all the people who organised the Minshull Madness event. I thought it was absolutely brilliant, the kids loved it, the families loved it and I think the whole community loved it...!
Well done to all...
I wholeheartedly agree with Nanney and Harlequins comments on Old Herbacious. . At £11 a ticket it also represented excellent value for money as you would normally associate this level of quality and professionalism with mainstream theatres which cost considerably more. Not to mention the hassle and inconvenience of travelling to them. Well done to Kerry and team on enabling such performances in our very own village hall.
Thought this was brilliant....a very good actor capable of capturing every emotion from hilarity to pathos. Reminded me of days spent in my father's greenhouse learning (reluctantly) about geraniums, etc. Although I personally did not enjoy Cape Wrath, I think it's worth continuing with the CRT productions.
Congratulations to Vision Group and Cheshire Rural Arts for bringing Old Herbacious to Church Minshull. A brilliant evening. Well done
I see the Crazy Gang have plans for Crewe. Might be promising. Will it ever happen do you think?
It might be interesting to hear from those in the village who may not be aware of the initiative and/or, have a view on the planned investment and improvements to our nearest major town, transport hub and possibly source of employment?
Please see the link, http://www.allchangeforcrewe.co.uk for info.
This was a very special occasion...thanks should go to Chinchinha Sainter for bringing musicians of such international repute to our village.
Editor's comment: We think it was John and Margaret Turner who organised, arranged and sponsored the event, but nonetheless, thanks should go out for bringing it to Church Minshull...!
Thought the Vintage Tea Party was a great success, really liked the whole ambience in the village hall, with the old tunes, posters, the film and nice to see new people attending. Of course, the cakes, scones and biscuits were great...but being served tea by a dodgy looking spiv..?
Just wanted to thank all who were involved in the tea party yesterday for what must be a unique event amongst villages. It was most enjoyable.
Very done to John, Liz, Pryce and Tim for the great organisation and to all the volunteers who helped the public, served the teas & cakes, loaded & unloaded the plants and manned the tills over the three days...the success of the plant sale, is credit to your selfless efforts...
Congratulations to the plant sale team on a fabulous event yet again. Well done. How lucky are we to have such an event on our doorstep?
It was a great turnout last night in the Badger Inn and lovely to meet and greet the new vicar and a lot of our new neighbours.
Wonderful to see families with young children joining our community as they bring a different dynamic, with an injection of youthful energy.
What a great turn out. What a great idea. Lovely to meet the new members of our community as well as those longer term folk who were just passing and stayed 4 hrs! Same time next week?
