Home » News » An Invitation For You

Do you like good company? Are you interested in classic Cheshire indoor short mat bowling? Are you a budding Renoir? Would you like to learn to play bridge? Do you wish there was something on in the village that was interesting? Do you have skill that you would like to pass to others?

Well you are in luck! Church Minshull Sports and Social Club are holding their Annual General Meeting on Friday 9th February 2018 at 7pm in the Village Hall. And whilst there will be a bit of formal meeting type stuff, they really want your views as to what you want the club to do.

If you want to be more involved in what goes on your help and advice running the club would be most appreciated.

So there is the attractive offer of wine and nibbles to tempt you in and an opportunity to have a go at some of the activities and view the art that is being produced. Come along have a go — you never know what you might like until you try it.

If you have an idea for a session you would like to see or a one off event like the sixties party or the car treasure hunt let them know and you never know it may happen here soon!

Well I tell himself its a bathe but really I'm looking for eels, they are said to be good for one's coat — its the slime apparently. Since I've lived here I've hunted for them diligently but with no...

It has felt like the longest summer ever already as I listen to the noise of the rain on our roof. The grass is still a dry shade of crunchy brown from the unbelievable Mediterranean weather conditions we have been having in this little corner of England. It is the hottest summer I can remember since I was a child, collecting water from stand pipes in the streets of Cardiff. Who could have...
